Dermatology
The Department of Dermatology is a multidisciplinary centre dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of skin, hair, and nail diseases. It affords professional care across a wide range of dermatologic specialties, including general dermatology, paediatric dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, dermatopathology, and advanced treatments for conditions such as common skin diseases, autoimmune diseases etc.
With a robust attention on patient-centred care, the department combines cutting-edge technology and innovative treatments to deliver personalized care. It also highlights education and research, training future dermatologists and healthcare professionals while conducting impactful studies to develop understanding and treatment of dermatological conditions.

The department also offers advanced procedures such as dermatosurgery, laser therapy, phototherapy, and cosmetology services. The Department of Dermatology at Omandurar Government Medical College is a center of clinical excellence, dedicated to delivering comprehensive skin care .With a patient-centric approach, the department combines medical expertise, education, and outreach to serve the community.
- Outpatient Services (OPD): Daily consultation for skin, hair, and nail problems.
- Inpatient Services (IPD): Dedicated wards for dermatology patients requiring admission
- Special Clinics: Leprosy clinic, STI clinic, Psoriasis clinic, Bullous disorders clinic, Vitiligo clinic
- Cosmetology Services: Chemical peels, acne scar treatment, chemical cautery ,Iontophoresis, intralesional steroids and other skin care procedures.
- Laser Therapy: CO2 laser and PICO laser
- Phototherapy Unit: Narrowband UVB therapy for psoriasis, vitiligo, and other skin conditions.
- Leprosy & STI Management: Specialized diagnosis, treatment, and counseling.
- Teaching & Training: Clinical teaching for undergraduate students.
